Porsche 911 GT3

The GT3 is the version of the 911 that Porsche builds for people who actually drive. It borrows its engine philosophy and much of its chassis from the cars that race at Le Mans and the Nurburgring, then makes the whole thing legal for the road. The 4.0 litre naturally aspirated flat-six sends 510 PS to the rear wheels and revs to a 9,000 rpm redline that almost nothing else on sale can match. The seven-speed PDK fires it to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and on to 318 km/h.

Driving it feels different from the turbocharged 911s. The throttle answers the instant your foot moves, the engine pulls harder the higher it spins, and the noise behind your shoulders builds into something you feel as much as hear.
