The Spectre is the first fully electric car Rolls-Royce has ever built, and a grand tourer in the truest sense of the word. Two electric motors send 577 horsepower and 900 Nm through all four wheels, taking the long coupe to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and on to a governed 250 km/h. The 102 kWh battery gives real touring range, so the distances Dubai throws at you stop feeling like a limit. The car asks for nothing and glides.

The cabin is the most serene Rolls-Royce has produced to date. The Starlight headliner flows into the illuminated doors until the interior becomes a private night sky, the seats are trimmed in bespoke leather, and the coach doors close at the touch of a button. Four people travel in genuine comfort, with a 380 litre boot for the weekend bags. For a DIFC dinner or a slow run down Sheikh Zayed Road at dusk, little else feels this composed.
